Expresses an mCherry-tagged DREADD receptor (hM3Dq-mCherry) under the control of a tet-inducible promoter (PTRE-tight). The hM3Dq-mCherry reading frame is inserted between heterologous pairs of lox sites (FLEX switch) to allow cell-type-selective version of activity tagging. This plasmid is for use with neuronal cell-type selective activity tagging. The hM3Dq receptor expression requires both neural activity and Cre recombinase.

This plasmid and associated plasmids are available through Addgene to academics and non-profits.
