Rabbit anti-rat cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP2D4 (polyclonal antibody). O-demethylation of xenobiotics, CYP2D6 is involved in the metabolism and elimination of approximately 25% of clinically used drugs in humans1. Primarily expressed in the liver and areas of the CNS. CYP2D1 and CYP2D4 have a similar function in rats2.

SPECIFICITY: By immunohistochemistry the antibody reveals strong staining in rat brain, but not liver, consistent with CYP2D4.

IMMUNOGEN: Synthetic peptide.

SUGGESTED APPLICATIONS: Immunohistochemistry on frozen and formaldehyde treated sections. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

FORMAT: Rabbit antiserum.

PRESENTATION: Liquid. No preservatives.

STORAGE/HANDLING: Maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

For research use only; not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for human or animal consumption.

CYP2D4 is also known as Cyp2d18, Cyp2d22, Cyp2d4v1 and Cyp2d4v2
